This Dam was constructed in North of Jordan on the border with Syria (Irbid City) having a storage capacity of 110 million cubic meters of water. The Dam construction consisted of using Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) technology. The project was aiming to provide 30 Million cubic meters of water for agricultural purposes in addition to the supply of Amman City with 50 Million cubic meters of drinking water as well as energy supply of 18800 Mega Watt / Hr for the second stage. The constructed Dam height is 96m and width 485 m, the excavation quantity was approx. 2.5 Million cubic meters and the RCC quantity was 1.4 million cubic meters.
